The purpose of the Marshall Opera Oral History Project is to collect, preserve, and disseminate the stories of seasoned and distinguished living composers. Young artists conduct these interviews, introducing them to the music and cultural milieu of a previous generation.
Following the interviews, the composer and the young artist will select a piece from one of the composer’s operas. The young artist will present this selection in concert along with works from other distinguished composers that are also part of the project. The next concert will take place at the Bruno Walter Auditorium, New York Public Library for the Performing Arts, Lincoln Center on April 27, 2 pm.
